Indiana Captive Hunting Statutes and Regulations |
 |
The Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR) promulgated an emergency rule banning captive hunts in August 2005, which was finalized in Spring 2006. However, a captive hunt operator sued the DNR, claiming that the rule was unlawful. On March 28, 2006, a state trial court issued an injunction against enforcement of the rule until the lawsuit is resolved. Eleven captive hunt facilities continue to operate in Indiana while the case proceeds.
