Here are a few easy things you can do to help end the slaughter of fetal and newborn karakul lambs:

 

 

• Don't buy karakul lamb fur. In fact, don't buy any fur products—the entire fur trade is inherently cruel to animals.
• Ask your local retailers not to carry karakul lamb fur. In the industry, the fur is also called Persian lamb, broadtail, caracul, karakulcha, cha, breitschwanz, swakara, namikara, nakara, astrakhan, agnello di persia, and krimmer. Explain your concerns about how the fur is obtained. Tell retailers you won't shop at stores that contribute to the suffering of karakul lambs.
• If you see an article or an advertisement about karakul lamb fur, write a letter to the editor of the publication.
• Contact your local media outlets—television and radio stations and newspapers—with information on this industry. Let them know they can contact HSUS Media Relations staff at 301-258-7793 for photos, video footage, and interviews.
