Fashion Industry Consultant and fur blogger Annie Judah of The HSUS met with Mickey Boardman, deputy editorial director for Paper Magazine. Mr. Boardman describes himself as a "cruelty free fashion maven" and has plugged faux fur, Moo Shoes, and other vegan apparel in his column Ask Mr. Mickey:

"Because MM [Mr. Mickey] has impeccable taste, he realizes that real fur hurts and that there are plenty of super-cute looks you can showcase that don' t leave a trail of animal carcasses. Mr. Mickey likes the media to die over his looks, but that' s as far as the carnage should go."
