The Cape Wildlife Center is Cape Cod's only full-service wildlife rehabilitation hospital, caring for nearly 2,000 animals each year. Additionally, the center's staff advocates for the humane treatment of wildlife and provides educational programs for community organizations. The non-profit center also publishes a quarterly newsletter and brochures about living with wildlife. From a hawk with a broken wing to a litter of raccoon orphans, the animals in the Cape Wildlife Center's care vary tremendously, often due to the time of year or recent weather occurrences. As soon as patients are well enough to be released, the center's staff takes great pride in returning them to the wild. Since all of the animals at the Cape Wildlife Center are patients, the clinic is not open to the public for tours, but special accommodations can be made to provide access to journalists. If you are a media professional, please call 508-362-0111 to arrange a visit to the clinic or to accompany our staff on a wildlife release.
