DES MOINES, Iowa —The HSUS is offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for shooting two mixed-breed Labradors on or about January 28.
The Case:
According to several articles in the Globe Gazette, two dogs, believed to be mother and pup, were found in a field in West Fork Township in the northeast corner of Franklin County. The three-month-old puppy had been shot through the roof of her mouth and the other dog was found deceased. The puppy, now named Miracle, was taken to the Humane Society of North Iowa, Mason City where she is receiving extensive veterinary care. A "Miracle Fund" has been set up to help defer her medical expenses.
