FORT WORTH, Tex.-The Humane Society of the United States is offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for torturing and burning a dog in north Dallas last week.
The Case:
According to Dallas Animal Control, a 10-month-old pit bull had been doused with gasoline and set on fire, sustaining burns over 60 percent of her body. She was found at the Rock Creek Apartments at Preston and Belt Line in north Dallas on April 15 by two men who took her to the Operation Kindness shelter. She was given immediate veterinary treatment there, and was named "Mercy."
Animal Cruelty:
