Sales from The HSUS' Online Store Benefit Farm Animals
Moby has long been concerned about the suffering of farm animals around the globe. Now, sales of his new album, "Wait for Me," will help support The Humane Society of the United States' work to protect farm animals: Albums purchased through Humane Domain, The HSUS' online store, will go directly to the organization's efforts to improve the welfare of animals raised for food.
"We know people will be able to buy 'Wait for Me' just about everywhere, but we hope everyone who cares about animals will shop for Moby's album at Humane Domain. Every sale will help us in our work on behalf of farm animals," said Miyun Park, The HSUS' vice president of farm animal welfare.
"Wait for Me" can be ordered now from Humane Domain, and the store will ship the orders when the album is released on June 30. As an added bonus, the first 90 albums purchased will include an album booklet personally autographed by Moby.
"Quite simply," Moby says, "I'll do anything to help decrease animal suffering in the world. Not to be too dramatic, but decreasing the suffering of animals is my life's work. I often work with The Humane Society of the United States, and I see this current project as being one of many that I've done with The HSUS to help make the world a safer and more humane one."
Moby has been making albums for nearly two decades, selling more than 20 million of his own records worldwide and playing more than 3,000 concerts. He has worked extensively with The HSUS in the past on several of the organization's animal welfare campaigns and is a true friend to animals.
"Moby's not only an exceptional artist, but one of the most dedicated farm animal advocates we've had the fortune to work with," Park said. "His dedication to reducing the suffering of animals on factory farms is truly inspiring."
