Humane Society Walk for the Animals
Saturday,
October 10, 2009
Constitution Gardens
The National Mall
Washington, D.C.
The Walk gives you the chance to double your impact because it supports Washington Humane Society, a local animal welfare agency, and The Humane Society of the United States, a national animal protection organization.
Not only will you be celebrating the animals in your own life, but you'll also be caring for those who do not yet have a home of their own. Specifically your participation helps to end pet homelessness by providing for both local and national adoption, spay/neuter, and humane education efforts.
A day filled with activities and entertainment sure to delight people and pets alike! Walk with your dog, form a team with coworkers or family. Cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs are more comfortable at home, but you can come along to walk for them! Just be sure you are there with us.
