Want to teach your dog to come when she's called? Can't keep her from jumping on the mailman? Help is on the way! The HSUS has teamed up with dog life coach Tamar Geller to produce a series of short videos designed to teach dog guardians how to train their pooches using humane, positive-reinforcement methods.
Geller's fascination with canine behavior started as a child. When she finished her service as an Israeli Intelligence Officer, she had the opportunity to turn her fascination into observation.
She watched wolves in the wild, marveling at the loving manner by which these wild canines train their young. After studying them with great interest, Geller theorized that by understanding the language of pack animals, she would be able to unlock the secrets of canine training and behavior modification.
Years later, Geller founded Southern California's first totally cage-free boarding and daycare center, called The Loved Dog Company. Her non-violent training style has attracted the attention of the public and media outlets such as Good Morning America, CNN and USA Today.
