Editor's note: Thanks to hundreds of bidders (and the stars who made it possible), our Protect Seals auction was a giant success. The autographed T-shirts, sweatshirts, and hard-hat (donated by Britney Spears) attracted an amazing 450 bids, bringing in more than $3,400 for the seal campaign. The top sellers? Items from Spears, Pierce Brosnan, Greg Kinnear, Chad Kroeger, Adrien Brody, and Kevin Bacon.
Here's a new way to save baby seals: Make a bid on eBay.
At the 2005 Sundance Film Festival, concerned stars such as Pierce Brosnan, Friends' Lisa Kudrow and David Schwimmer, Pirates of the Caribbean's Kiera Knightly, MTV's Jenny McCarthy, and Lost's Emilie DeRaven took time off from promoting their latest projects to show their support for The HSUS's Protect Seals campaign, which aims to end Canada's annual seal hunt. The stars autographed long-sleeved T-shirts announcing "I'm Helping Save Baby Seals" and hooded sweatshirts saying "Club Sandwiches Not Seals."
Some stars, like Kevin Bacon, signed several shirts. And some, like Shannon Elizabeth and Academy Award winner Adrien Brody, added their own personal messages.
Click here before Thursday, April 21, to view all the available shirts and make your own bid to protect seals. Or go to eBay.com and type in the search term "protect seals" or visit The HSUS's page on eBay's charitable arm, MissionFish. If you would like to purchase a seal polo or sweatshirt without an autograph, click here.
Proceeds will go to support our efforts to put an end to Canada's brutal commercial slaughter of seals.
