The LOLseals Photo Caption Contest has been closed (you can still read the rules here), but you are welcome to continue creating LOLseals!   

The idea is simple: we provide you with photos of little baby harp seals, and you create a caption for the photo. The caption can be funny, cute, endearing ... whatever you choose.

Seals are precious, innocent, and adorable ... so let's celebrate and appreciate their cuteness! After you've made your LOLseal (or three), check out humanesociety.org/protectseals to find out how you can get involved in the cause to help save these beautiful creatures.

LOLseals is based off the idea of an image macro, where text is superimposed on a photo.

To make your LOLseal:

Step 1: Choose your favorite photo

Click on the link below the photo you'd like to caption. Once you're done, save it to your computer and follow the rest of the steps below.

Step 2: Submit your entry.

Fill out the form below to submit your photo.

Have your own Flickr account? Log in, upload your photo, and use the tag "lolseals08".

To submit more than one photo, just refresh the page. If you have problems uploading, contact us.

Step 3: Check out all of the contest entries and other LOLseals.

All of the photos we receive will be posted on our Flickr page.
