Wildlife protection groups filed suit against the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service over its decision to delist the western Great Lakes population of gray wolves from the Endangered Species Act. A federal court in DC ruled in favor of plaintiffs and returned the Great Lakes Wolf population to protected status.
