The HSUS filed an amicus brief asking the court to reverse an order that would require the City of San Diego to dredge La Jolla's Children's Pool Beach. The dredging will harm and harass harbor seals who have made Children's Pool Beach their winter home, in violation of the Marine Mammal Protection Act.
