Readers of VegNews, America's premier vegetarian lifestyle magazine, have chosen The Humane Society of the United States as their favorite nonprofit organization for the third year in a row.
The magazine's prestigious annual Veggie Awards celebrate excellence in vegetarian living, ranging from the best veggie burger to the most vegetarian-friendly city to the best nonprofit organization.
VegNews' readers voted during August 2009, and the winners will be published in the holiday edition of the magazine.
The issue will be available Nov. 1 on newsstands and at vegnews.com.
