Students have responded enthusiastically to the HSVMA veterinary school lectures, and the organization looks forward to continuing them in the upcoming year.
Here's what some of the students had to say:
"Thank you so much for your help in organizing the first meeting of the HSVMA at Purdue!
Dr. Krebsbach did an excellent job speaking, and we had a very good turnout for Wednesday's meeting. Hopefully with the interest we got after the meeting, we will be able to initiate a formal club next semester! " - Virginia Frauenthal, Purdue SVM Class of 2009, on "Doing Well Because You're Doing Good"
"I just wanted to send a quick e-mail thanking you and the HSVMA for the presentation and lunch yesterday.
We had the biggest turnout for this presentation than we have had all year ... Dr. Bartfield was engaging and knowledgeable, and carried out the presentation well." - Sheryl Coutermarsh-Ott, Virginia-Maryland CVM Class of 2011, on "Cosmetic and Convenience Surgeries"
"I just wanted to tell you that the lecture was a great success! We had over 100 students attend! And there were so many questions that several students followed Barbara [HSVMA speaker Dr. Barbara Hodges] out into our campus coffee lounge afterwards. This really got people thinking." - Nicole Putney, Washington State CVM Class of 2011, on "Cosmetic and Convenience Surgeries"
