The Humane Society Veterinary Medical Association (HSVMA) was formed as a powerful new veterinary organization, combining the efforts of The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) with the Association of Veterinarians for Animal Rights (AVAR) to promote animal welfare and protection among the veterinary community.

We are a home for veterinary professionals who want to speak out for animals, engage in direct care programs, and educate the public and others in the profession about animal welfare and advocacy issues that affect our communities today.
