German Shepherd rescued from an Indiana Puppy Mill © Crump/The HSUS | Members of The HSUS Animal Rescue Team pulled this striking white German shepherd from a small enclosure during a puppy mill raid in Indiana. Although she was confined to a cage most of her life, she quickly warmed to her rescuers. She is calm, attentive and ready for adoption at the Humane Society of Missouri.
The German shepherd was one of 67 animals rescued from the puppy mill's squalid living conditions. All of the dogs rescued were kept in tiny wire cages and many endured years of forced breeding. Like all puppy mill dogs, they were also malnourished and lacked basic socialization. See more about this touching rescue mission here.
