This Lhasa apso-mix was saved from a squalid puppy mill in Montreal by members of Humane Society International's Animal Rescue Team. After years spent subjected to forced breeding and neglect, she now has the chance to get the human affection she craves. The dog was taken to Washington, D.C. and is now available for adoption at the Washington Animal Rescue League.
This Lhasa apso-mix was rescued during Humane Society International's first puppy mill raid in the Canadian province of Quebec. More than 110 animals were rescued during this groundbreaking mission. See more details on that puppy mill raid here. HSI is the international arm of The Humane Society of the United States.
