Members of The HSUS Animal Rescue team recently saved Dan from a life of neglect at a large puppy mill in Tennessee.
When they found Dan. the team realized that he needed immediate medical attention and they sent him straight to a local veterinary clinic for further care.
The veterinarian concluded that Dan was suffering from a severe heart condition known as cardiomyopathy, and put him on life-saving medication. Without this immediate action, Dan's condition could have been fatal.
Now, thanks to the help of one of our fantastic volunteers, Dan has found a forever home and is expected to live a long, healthy life. He is learning to play with his two Great Dane brothers and is thriving in his new, loving household. He is truly an inspiration to all of us.
