| Nigel Barker, noted fashion photographer and America’s Next Top Model judge, is asking his fans around the world to take HSI’s No Shark Fin Pledge.
As a teenager, Nigel dreamed of becoming a zoologist, oceanographer, or marine biologist. Now the former model and fixture on the fashion scene is helping to protect marine ecosystems by lending his voice to the campaign against shark finning.

Help stop needless cruelty and save endangered species: Say NO to shark fin products. | “I believe that many people who consume shark fin soup simply don’t yet know about the cruel and wasteful practice of shark finning,” Nigel noted. “That is why I am joining with Humane Society International to spread the message far and wide.”
While shark fin soup is mostly consumed in the Far East, there are restaurants around the world that serve it. Nigel is well positioned to reach out to international consumers, as America’s Next Top Model is popular in more than 100 countries.
