	Sea Turtles

All sea turtles are considered either threatened or endangered and face a variety of threats including human consumption of their meat, eggs, and shell; bycatch from commercial fisheries; and habitat destruction. HSI works to increase protection for sea turtles through international and domestic legislation, advocacy and public education efforts, and supporting the work of local groups abroad.
