| Not only does he offer a fur-free line...Nelly signs HSUS's poster declaring that a dog is a prize, not a fighter. |
Paris Hilton and Nelly are the latest stars adding their name to the list of fur-free clothing lines, in what has undeniably become a trend for using alternatives to animal fur.
Representatives of Dollhouse by Paris Hilton and Applebottoms by Nelly have both confirmed with The HSUS that neither of their lines have any animal fur.
Over the past several years, more designers and retailers are saying no to fur as people learn of the cruelties inherent in fur production. Many have stopped using fur after problems in the industry were uncovered—false advertising, false labeling, and the use of domestic dog fur—and many have simply never used it at all.
The HSUS is compiling an ever-growing list of retailers and designers who are saying no to fur.
Whatever look you're going for—whether an Emmy dress by Marc Bouwer or poolside chic by Ashley Paige—you'll find fur-free labels that satisfy your fashion craving: Hollister, Anthropologie, Betsy Johnson, Kenneth Cole, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Zara, H&M, Applebottoms, Dollhouse, Victoria Bartlett, Benjamin Cho...the list goes on and on.
