The Humane Society of the United States is giving a lucky winner the ultimate compassionate fashion experience—a trip for two to Fashion Week in New York City to attend the debut of fur-free designer Jay McCarroll's first ready-to-wear collection, Transport.

The winner of the trip will be the person recruiting the most new signers to The HSUS's Fur-Free Pledge. By signing, people are pledging to make compassion their fashion and "take a stand against cruelty by not buying or wearing fur or fur trim." Along with seats at the show, the winner will also receive necessary airfare and hotel accommodations for up to two nights. The contest ends Sept. 7.

Jay McCarroll's show will be in the tents of Olympus Fashion Week, an event not open to the public. The contest winner will gain entry into an exclusive world of high fashion typically seen only through pictures in magazines and coverage on their favorite fashion shows.

TAKE ACTION

Take the pledge to go fur-free, then tell your friends and family to take the pledge, too.

The HSUS is proud to be the exclusive sponsor of Jay McCarroll at New York's Fashion Week. McCarroll became a household name and the designer to watch when he won the first season of Project Runway, the hit fashion-design reality show on Bravo.

More than 50 million animals are killed every year for their fur. Recent investigations of the fur trade in China—the top exporter of fur garments to the United States—have exposed animals being skinned alive and dogs and cats killed by the millions. Furbearing animals in the United States are killed by techniques that include anal and genital electrocution, neck-breaking and drowning.

The Fur-Free Fashion Show contest webpage is online at: www.hsus.org/fur. Sign the pledge now and tell all your friends—you could be the lucky person at Fashion Week.
