Cool vs. Cruel is an annual fashion design contest that challenges students of The Art Institutes to re-interpret and improve runway looks by creatively replacing the animal fur with cruelty-free alternatives. See the 2009 contest rules, deadlines and entry forms.
This year, students will be asked to improve a cruel design by Michael Kors, Burberry Prorsum, Thakoon or Alexander McQueen. Click on the thumbnails to see a high-resolution version.
