Wendys vs. Wendy's

November 7, 2007

Upload a photo of yourself and a message for Wendy's!

We know you care about animals. But fast-food chain Wendy's has turned a cold shoulder on hens, refusing to move away from using eggs from birds cruelly confined in cages so small they can't spread their wings.

Turn your compassion into action

Why not join a growing number of people from around the world in asking Wendy's to stop supporting this abuse? A number of Wendys have already done this, but you don't need to be named Wendy to speak up for egg-laying hens! Get into the spirit by seeing some examples.

It's easy to put your photo into our online photo album of people like you—telling Wendy's to warm up to animal welfare.

Just take a photo of yourself—even a cellphone snapshot—holding a sign with your full name, city, state and a message for Wendy's. If you are more comfortable using just a last initial or omitting your city, you may do so, and your sign can be as plain or as fancy as you wish. Handwritten is fine.

You can submit your photo in two ways:

1. Upload directly to Flickr.

Go to http://www.flickr.com/groups/wendysvswendys, and join the group. Then upload your photo. Be creative with your title, but please be sure to include your name and location in the description, and use the tag "wendysvswendys07." Then click on your photo and choose "send to group."

2. Email it to us.

Send your photo to us at hsusphotos@gmail.com, and we'll upload it for you. Be sure to include your full name and where you're from.

Your photo will be featured in our online photo album for everyone to admire and enjoy! Most importantly, you'll be letting the Wendy's—and the world—know that battery cages just aren't right!
