Adam Aponte really loves P.F. Chang's.

He loves the restaurant chain so much, in fact, that he embarked on a road trip to visit P.F. Chang's locations coast-to-coast.

He brought a friend, too: Ryan Jewett, a vegetarian who tweeted about enjoying the chain's meat-free menu items as they went.

Adam and Ryan attracted the attention of enthusiastic P.F. Chang's executives and garnered some media coverage for their travels.

Doing Lunch

When the pair passed through the Washington, D.C. area, HSUS staffers Matt Prescott and Erin Williams teamed up with them for a fun vegetarian lunch.

What's on The Menu?

  • Vegetarian lettuce wraps
  • Spicy green beans
  • Vegetarian dumplings
  • Spring rolls
  • Buddha's feast
  • Stir-fried eggplant
  • Coconut curry vegetables
  • Ma Po tofu
  • Vegetable chow fun

Joining them were P.F. Chang's regional vice president Brad Kaemmer, market partner John Devine and culinary chef Jim McCurley.

A Variety of Veg Options

The group sampled several of P.F. Chang's meat-free appetizers and entrees.

The company, like a growing number of restaurants nationwide, features a tantalizing selection of vegetarian fare that appeals to everyone from carnivores to herbivores and is more humane, sustainable and delicious.

These foods make it easy to see why more and more chefs are singing the praises of vegetarian cooking.

"P.F. Chang's is proud of our selection of vegetarian meals, which reflect our commitment to meeting the needs of restaurant-goers seeking a variety of dining options," stated Rick Tasman, COO of P.F. Chang's.
