New Brochures Tell Wendy’s: That’s NOT Right!

By leafletting outside Wendy's, you can make a difference for egg-laying hens.

Ever since Burger King announced in March that it's starting to switch to using cage-free eggs, The HSUS has urged Wendy's to do the same.

We've talked with company executives, attended shareholder meetings, issued press releases and responded to Wendy's tired arguments. We even ran print and radio ads calling on the company to do the right thing.

More than 40,000 people have contacted Wendy's, asking it to start moving away from one of the worst factory farm abuses.

Hardee's and Carl's Jr., even recently announced that they are moving away from eggs from caged hens—leaving Wendy's virtually alone in its indefensible refusal to follow its competitors and implement a common-sense, modest cage-free egg policy.

Stepping Up the Pressure

So now, we're taking it up a notch. The HSUS recently printed new brochures urging Wendy's to stop lagging behind. Some volunteers have even been donning bright red Wendy's wigs and leafleting outside Wendy's locations, informing customers about the company's frosty attitude toward animal welfare.

We need your help! Simply by leafleting outside a Wendy's location, you will help encourage the company to do the right thing and move away from eggs from caged hens. And by just spending an hour leafleting, you'll also educate people about the cruelty of battery cage confinement in the egg industry.

Please contact us for 50 free brochures to get you started. Just a few minutes can make a world of difference for the hens.

And please send us photos (with or without a wig)! Please be sure to include your full name and where you're from.
