  The HSUS never endorsed Eggology.
Myth: The HSUS endorsed a company called Eggology.

Reality: The HSUS never endorsed Eggology.

While it's a positive sign that Eggology has eliminated its use of eggs from hens confined in battery cages, it's simply not true that The HSUS has ever endorsed the company. The press release that some HSUS opponents are circulating was not seen or approved by The HSUS and is false.

Since The HSUS's inception in 1954, the only food company that the organization has ever endorsed is Turtle Island, the maker of Tofurky. This myth regarding Eggology began when a public relations firm with no HSUS affiliation incorrectly stated in a press release that The HSUS endorsed Eggology.

The moment we discovered this fallacy we contacted the company, which acknowledged the mistake and then sent out a new press release taking out the false reference to The HSUS.
