Reward Offered In Nowata County, Okla. Animal Cruelty Case

The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) is offering a reward of up to $2500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for brutally shooting an English Mastiff named Buddy in a rural home near the town of Lenapah, Nowata County, Oklahoma.

The Case:

On Sunday morning, March 14, Buddy's owner returned home to discover him clinging to life but severely wounded and bleeding. The home was also vandalized. Buddy died shortly thereafter at the scene. A necropsy confirmed a gunshot wound to Buddy's head was the cause of his death. Buddy belonged to a 61-year old single woman with congestive heart failure and cancer who depended on him for companionship.
