Reward Offered in Atlanta, Georgia, Dog Cruelty Case |

The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) is offering a reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for stabbing a dog in the head with a hunting knife. This is in addition to the $1,000 reward offered by the Atlanta Humane Society – bringing the total reward to $3,500.
The Case:
A resident of southwest Atlanta discovered his dog severely injured with a large hunting knife protruding from her head. He immediately took the dog to the Atlanta Humane Society veterinary clinic for treatment
The pit bull, aptly named Lucky, is resting comfortably after a 45-minute surgery to remove the hunting knife. The knife penetrated her skull but stopped short of hitting her brain. She is expected to make a full recovery.
