The HSUS Announces Song Contest, Winner Chosen by Darryl "DMC" McDaniels
Is your dog your best friend? What do you think about dogfighting? Now is your chance to speak your mind for rap legend DMC.
The Humane Society of the United States is holding the first "Hip Hop for Hounds" contest for the best rap song that stands up for dogs, and against dogfighting.
DMC will chose the winning song and the winner will receive a $1,000 prize. Contest submissions will be accepted until March 31, 2008. The winner will be announced shortly after.
Contest Instructions
1. Write your rap song and remember—it's about the dogs! The song should be about why we love our dogs and what's wrong with fighting them.
2. You can submit your song two ways:
a. Record your song and email it to us. Go to yousendit.com and attach your song file (under 3MB), then email it to hiphipforhounds@humanesociety.org.
b. Record your song onto a CD and mail it to the following address:
