Anne Sterling Indiana State Director 812.606.7649 asterling@humanesociety.org
Anne Sterling is the Indiana state director for The Humane Society United States. During her tenure, Sterling has been a key player in working to end the inhumane trapping and subsequent sale of live coyotes to wildlife pens to be used as bait for hunting dogs.
Prior to joining The HSUS in 2007, Sterling was in resource development with Habitat for Humanity and was a community organizer with Kiwanis International. Before that, she had the distinction to work for both the former Indiana First Lady Judy O'Bannon and her husband, the late Governor Frank O'Bannon.
She is a native of Indiana and a graduate of Butler University, where she double-majored in political science and Spanish.
When not tending to her own animals, Anne can be found reading, baking vegan goodies or hiking with her husband.
