Exciting changes are underway in the central states region. Our territory has expanded to include the states of Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, and Nebraska (formerly served by the Midwest Regional Office in Des Moines, Iowa). Former Midwest Regional Director Diane Webber has relocated to the Central States Regional Office (CSRO) in Naperville, Illinois, and is looking forward to serving members and constituents in the newly expanded region.
“I am excited to think about all that we can accomplish for animals. It’s a new year, and there are many challenges ahead,” Webber said. “I am confident that the realignment of the central states region will make our efforts to help animals even more successful.”
To effectively address the varied animal protection issues that are unique to each state in our region, CSRO will hire state representatives who will focus their attention on issues covering two states. This will enable regional staff to work more closely with local activists, organizations, and others in our effort to bring the national programs of The HSUS to the grassroots level. We are hopeful that this will also help strengthen our efforts to improve state laws.
For questions or concerns about animal issues in Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, or Wisconsin, please contact the Central States Regional Office at (630) 357-7015. We look forward to working with you.
