Nearly 150 people attended the First Annual Genesis Awards, a
luncheon ceremony which took place at Le Bel Age Hotel in
Hollywood, Calif. Awardees included radio commentator Paul
Harvey, nationally syndicated columnist Abigail Van Buren, and
nationally syndicated cartoonist Charles M. Schulz. There were
14 winners in all.
Most Memorable Moment:
Los Angeles radio talk-show host Tom Hall won a Genesis
Award for merely allowing air time for a frank discussion on
animal rights!
