It was an exciting night at the Beverly Hilton, where more than 800 people gathered to pay tribute to the news and entertainment media for raising awareness of animal-protection issues. Produced by The Hollywood Office of The HSUS, the Genesis Awards acknowledges outstanding works in film, TV, print and the arts. The big winners of the night included "Charlotte's Web," "Happy Feet," "Fast Food Nation," "The Simpsons," "Bones," "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" and more. Celebrity presenters included James Cromwell ("Spiderman 3," "24"), Bill Maher ("Real Time with Bill Maher"), J.K. Simmons ("Spiderman 3"), Persia White ("Girlfriends"), Amy Smart ("Crank"), Steve Valentine ("Crossing Jordan"), Esai Morales ("Fast Food Nation"), Burt Young and Rusty the Dog ("Rocky Balboa"), and more.
