Humane Society International deploys disaster relief teams to assess the human and animal impacts of natural and manmade disasters and to provide assistance in a number of ways.
- Our field teams deliver food, medicine and veterinary care to companion animals, livestock and even wildlife.
- We liase with international relief organizations and governments to ensure that care for animals is an essential part of the recovery process.
- We often work with local animal organizations on the ground and even provide emergency grants in times of crisis.
